Series I Like: Sailor Moon! Apart from having read more of this than any other anime series, it's also the only one I've really watched a lot of. I have seen some Utena, Kenshin, KnO, SD OMG, Lain, Slayers, Outlaw Star, Tenchi, um... a lot of random fansubs I've downloaded from various locations. I have not seen and do not wish to see Pokemon. I've seen some Marmalade Boy and found it boring. I haven't seen an actual Ranma episode yet, and I've only read one "real" book of it. I have however read a lot of Ranma fanfic, there's bunches of good stuff available online. I'm also a fan of Xena, Star Trek, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Things I Don't Like: Child/Parent incest. Watersports/scat. Enemas. Necrophilia. Those are pretty definite squicks for me. Other kinks generally depend on the writing style. I've read some very good stories that included violent rape and torture. It depends on the author's ability. Some story archive sites refuse to list any story that includes forced sex - particularly if it plays on the unfortunate myth that women can be forced into sex and then end up loving it (this happens a lot in fanfic). On the one hand, this sort of story contributes to unhealthy sexual attitudes. On the other, these stories are clearly fantasies. I believe that people have the right to fantasize. To the ends of free speech I try not to omit any story from this archive on the grounds of content, although I may insert a lot of "EW!" warnings if the story includes some of those things that squick me. |
