I think I'm becoming unfairly biased against this author from the long run of stories. I really do. Because my first reaction is to whine about having Serena beating Alex in a race. Which is a completely silly thing to whine about. (But if you're going to tread on someone's specialty, build up to it more! It's forgivable because it *did* at least make some noise about Serena having worked hard for this and wanting to win... but unless I missed it I don't really know why she cared. Give me a reason to root for her and I'd be more willing to let her leave Alex in the dust.) Oh yeah, and then Serena and Darien go have sex, and the author scolds people again.
